PRESENT THE EXCELLENT GLORY
by Ruth Ward Heflin

The days just ahead will be the greatest for all of us. How will God do it? I don’t know, but I’m not worried about it. He is Sovereign Lord, and He can do exactly what He wants to do, anytime He wants to do it. My confidence is in Him.

In the story of Esther and Mordecai, the wicked Haman was plotting to destroy the people of God, but God caused King Ahasuerus not to sleep one night. He felt compelled to get up and examine the chronicles. There he discovered the name of Mordecai, a man who had done good and had never been rewarded for it. The next morning, as early as possible, the king felt compelled to send someone to find Haman and bring him to the palace. “What would you do,” he asked Haman, “for a man who deserves to be honored?” Haman was sure he must be the man, so he spoke greater things than he would ever have dared to say otherwise. “That’s good,” the king replied. “I want you to do all those things you have said for a man named Mordecai whom you will find, I am told, sitting in the gate.”

God knows how to turn every bad intention aside and to cause the wheel of God to favor your life. He has no limitations. Our Sovereign Lord doesn’t need to be awakened in the night to show anyone how to honor you. He never sleeps. He knows how to put it into the spirit of someone who hasn’t thought about you in a long time to call you on the telephone, and, before you realize
it, a whole process has been put into motion.

There’s a wind blowing all across the land, a wind of God’s favor. We must rise to the challenge of the moment. It would be terrible to stand on a great platform without having a greater glory in our lives to bless others. God must enlarge us and place that greater glory within us, so that when opportunities come to us, we will be able to present the excellent glory He is bringing forth in this day and hour.

Stop looking to the temporal, and start seeing the eternal. Stop squandering all your prayer time on things that will pass away and start believing God for things that will last forever. Some of us are guilty of fasting and praying to keep the very things God wants us to let go. We’re trying to get more strength to hold on to what we have, while God is trying to get us to let loose. We keep grasping things tighter and tighter, while He’s trying to get us to let them go.

Not only will we not look to temporal things in the days ahead, we won’t even consider them. We will be so consumed with the eternal realm that temporal things will seem as nothing to us.
We can no longer afford to live only in the natural realm. We must live in the supernatural. Let yourself soar away and be changed from glory to glory. Receive greater and greater glory, greater and greater revelation, greater and greater insight, greater and greater provision.

Let the hastening of the Spirit be felt down deep in your spirit. We are hastening unto the coming of the Lord, hastening unto the fullness of His purposes. It is through the revelation of the Spirit that you will be elevated. You will no longer move up a step at a time. You will suddenly go from the bottom step to the top step. You will suddenly move up from the lower floors
to the upper floors. Don’t stand by and watch as others are lifted up. It’s also you that the Lord wants to lift up.

PRAISE to WORSHIP to GLORY
by Ruth Ward Heflin

I was born in the glory one Sunday after the evening service. My parents were Pentecostal pioneers. At the time I was born, they were living in a couple of the Sunday school rooms of the church they founded in Richmond, Virginia. I was born in those rooms in the glory of God that was manifested in their ministry. When I was a young girl, I went directly from school to the church on Wednesday afternoons. The faithful of the church were gathered in prayer from one to four. I attended most of those prayer meetings.

During the first two hours they had been making their petitions and interceding before God. During the last hour they would just bask in His presence. Those were the best times. Every petition they could think of had been made. Now the Holy Ghost took over. Sounds of glory, dropped into my spirit from those years, have kept me as I traveled all over the world in ministry.

I have been in thousands of meetings and heard thousands of sermons, but the greatest influence in my life have been those glory sounds that came forth in the latter hours of those prayer meetings where God’s people touched the eternal realm.

As air is the atmosphere of the earth, glory is the atmosphere of Heaven. It lifts us up above the earthly, into the very presence of God. Later, when I moved to Jerusalem to live and worship
on Mt. Zion, the Lord began to show me the progression from PRAISE to WORSHIP to GLORY and the relationship between the three. I have found myself sharing these simple truths with God’s people all over the world. Praise … until the spirit of worship comes. Worship … until the glory comes. Then …. stand in the glory.

If you can capture the basic principles of praise, worship and glory — so simple that we often miss them —you can have anything else you want in God. It doesn’t matter if you’re alone and have nobody to agree with you in prayer. It doesn’t matter at what stage you are in your spiritual development.

Move into the glory realm, and anything becomes possible!

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward”. Gen 15:1. This is the Word of the Lord to Abraham, before he had his name name changed. Abraham, the Father of Faith is the first man to receive the command from the Lord to Fear Not!

When we walk in Faith doubt will always come alongside, it will always show itself to us as we begin to walk in faith. The enemy will use doubt to bring fear, and as fear gets a foothold it will bring us to a stop, and in many cases a paralyzing dead stop. Remember as Paul so succinctly tells us, “God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind”.

As you obey the command to “Fear Not” and walk in faith to accomplish what we are called to do, there is great reward.

Remember that there are no men in the bible that were born great, rather they learned to walk in obedience, and were thus able to accomplish great things.
