Fear Not!!!
February 8, 2010

John McDonald
“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward”. Gen 15:1. This is the Word of the Lord to Abraham, before he had his name name changed. Abraham, the Father of Faith is the first man to receive the command from the Lord to Fear Not!
When we walk in Faith doubt will always come alongside, it will always show itself to us as we begin to walk in faith. The enemy will use doubt to bring fear, and as fear gets a foothold it will bring us to a stop, and in many cases a paralyzing dead stop. Remember as Paul so succinctly tells us, “God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind”.
As you obey the command to “Fear Not” and walk in faith to accomplish what we are called to do, there is great reward.
Remember that there are no men in the bible that were born great, rather they learned to walk in obedience, and were thus able to accomplish great things.
John

Thanks Mr. Mcdonald for this short but tremendous word. Fears controlled my live for so long; event after knowing Jesus was a long and awfully painful process to become free from fears. I remember been in a camp meeting years ago, when an older couple that were ministering told me, “you have done things leading by fears, God do not operate in fears. He is delivered you from fears.” Oh! my God! If they would also told me how much it would cost me. I probably would said, “Not thanks Lord; let me alone, I have lived like that all my live, it does not bother me.”
Nothing else could be farther from the true. The freedom, the joy, the peace, the rest, the safety and the confidence that I have fund in learned to trust on the Lord are priceless. When He made free from fears, was like became out of a prison where you was leaving without knowing. Fears still appear, as you said, to paralyze us and impeding the plan of God for/with me. When that happens I go on my knees, close my eyes and look at Him, remember and proclaim all His promise, and keep walking knowing that He is with me and how faithful He is. And, when fear became to annoy, He always send me a man or woman of God, like you, with a word from Him, and that all that we need to move on, a word from Him. Because, it is not about what I see or what I hear around me; it is about what He has said to me.
Thank you so much, Josefina

Dear Pastor,
Praise the Lord!
My son Alpha and my self planned to attend for the finsl camp ground meetings. Unfortunately my son who was doing his Masters degree in Theology missed from home on August 18th and was searched by police in forest preserves and lakes where his car was parked. On the third day police found my older son Alpha’s body in the water. I went to that lake, God reminded the water baptism and my baptism. Alpha is with the Lord. His memorial celebratin will be in India on 11th sept in India. Please pray for my wife Elsie, second son Gamma and my daughter Beeta.
Thank you for your prayer support.
