Friday May 28th 2010

Today is the last day of the 1st Semester of the School Of Ministry, and marks the beginning of the preparation for Summer Camp-meeting 2010, which begins in earnest on Friday June 25th, just four short weeks from tonight.

I know if you are reading this and you have some free time that would enable you to help us with Camp-meeting preparation, your help would be much appreciated. Just call reception at 804 798 7756 and they will be able to give you further information. I know that Debbie sent out an email with a list of supplies that can be donated to help cut our costs. We did this last year and many were able to donate food, cleaning supplies, paper goods etc, which were a huge blessing to us. If you are able to donate materials also call reception.

For me, teaching those who were able to be in class has been an honor and privilege. Some who were the classes at the start have over the last few weeks been involved in early preparation for Camp

We have been studying through Kevin Conner’s “The Foundations of Christian Doctrine, a systematic survey of doctrine which has included the following subjects.

  1. Christian Doctrine
  2. Doctrine of Revelation
  3. Doctrine of Scripture
  4. Doctrine of God
  5. Doctrine of The Holy Spirit
  6. Doctrine of Angels
  7. Doctrine of Satan and Demonology
  8. Doctrine of Man
  9. Doctrine of Sin
  10. Doctrine of Christ
  11. Doctrine of The Atonement

Glen Garland and Joshua Nichol ably taught, with Glen teaching on Christian Doctrine, Revelation, Holy Spirit, and the majority of The Atonement, Joshua taking the subjects of Angels and some of Satan & Demons. I was able to teach on Scripture, God, Man, Sin, Christ, some of Satan & Demonology, as well as some of the Atonement.

As for me, I know I learned much even as I was teaching, it is exciting to get revelation whilst one is unfolding the Word, and then seeing the expressions on faces as they get a download from the throne. I love to give students the freedom to ask questions as we move through the subject, at times another pathway opened up, eventually coming back on track which showed us that everything is connected.

If you would like to get either the DVD’s, CD’s, or MP3 files of the School call our Media Department and they will let you know the cost involved.

We look forward to the next semester, which will be after Summer Camp is finished and clean up has been done.

Till next time be blessed.

John
