February 2010

Winter Excitement:
Update: Calvary’s Annual Winter CampMeeting:
Last night, Friday the 5th we started our Winter Campmeeting began. The theme for this year is “FEAR NOT”. While many who wanted to attend were not able to do so because of the extremely harsh winter weather (well for this area anyway), we still have a great crowd of witnesses as to the hunger of God’s people for more of His presence.
Joshua Mills is our opening speaker, and will be speaking tonight (Saturday), and tomorrow night. Click on the Media button, then Winter Campmeeting 2010, and you will be able to see Joshua’s message from last night. Remember, if you are unable to make it, you don’t have to be present here to capture what God wants to do. Yet hungry people will leave everything they know to capture something from God, and He honors that passion.
For the month of February, while Campmeeting is in progress Bible School has been suspended. We have available four teaching albums available, as either CD or DVD.
Volume 1. The Christian Doctrine, teacher is Glenn Garland
Volume 2. The Doctrine Of Revelation, Glenn Garland
Volume 3. The Doctrine Of Scripture, John McDonald
Volume 4. The Doctrine Of God, John McDonald
For prices, call our Media Department.
Till our next report,
John
New Year’s Message:
2010 started with a big bang as it does with each year, and this year was no different, with Praise & Worship, and waiting on the Lord as He spoke through many of things to come. Due to New Years being at the end of the week many stayed for the weekend, adding to the atmosphere continuing on for a few days.
The next week was our Ministers and Workers Conference which is always a great time of encouragement for those who have served the Lord and need some time away to be encouraged, strengthened and released back to their field of service. The speakers were Decker Tapscott, Glenn Garland and of course our Director, Dr Jane Lowder. The messages dovetailed together and many were ministered to as they sought personal ministry with each of the speakers. Decker Tapscott added a dimension that obviously demonstrated the divine appointment of the Lord for the Conference.
This week we started a new venture as a dream of Sister Jane’s begins to bud, that has been to see a School of Ministry.
This week we commenced with our first course, The Foundations Of Christian Doctrine, using the excellent work of Kevin Connor as the supplementary textbook with the Bible. The teaching takes place each morning Monday – Friday, for two sessions each being about an hour in length. The course looks at twelve of the doctrines, our first ably taught by Glenn Garland dealing with two of the doctrines, The Christian Doctrine and The Doctrine of Revelation, finishing in the first session today Friday 15th January.
Today we also began the Doctrine of Scripture, as I began taught an introduction to this subject and will begin in earnest next week. From many comments I have had many are enjoying it and taking hold of the challenge to break out of the boxes people have built around them, or built themselves. This course will last about 12 weeks, I have already had some comment that they are hoping we do more when this is finished.
These teachings will be available as separate Teaching Albums in either DVD or CD. The number of CD’s & DVD’s in each album will vary so the price will reflect those differences. So if you would like to order the first Album call the Media department for information.
Then we have coming in just a couple of weeks our annual Winter Campmeeting, already the first weekend is totally booked out, so why not take the opportunity to join us at some of the other days, with a great speaker line up.
In closing, I am asking you to prayerfully consider investing into the ministry of CPT, to continue the call we have. Remember this place has been set aside to build, and equip men and women that they may be fully enabled to do what our Lord has called them to do, just click here on this link and it will take you to the giving page. We thank you for your obedience and are grateful to the Lord for whatever amount He speaks to you to sow, and pray that He will return to you manyfold.
Till next time, keep growing in Him
John D. McDonald
