Rev. Jane Lowder

Jane Lowder has been with Calvary Pentecostal Campground for nearly twenty-five years. In her early years with the ministry, because of her extraordinary faithfulness, hard work and dedication, she was already recognized as a leader and was given many staff responsibilities. Over the years, she was often left in charge of the camp ministry when Rev. Wallace Heflin went out for ministry elsewhere.

For some ten years, Jane was in charge of conducting the afternoon service at the camp. She, however, also traveled and ministered widely abroad, visiting more than sixty-five nations between 1978 and 1996 and staying busy abroad four to six months each of those years.

After Brother Heflin died, Jane was given even more responsibility in the camp. She ministered every Saturday morning to the weekend crowd, and during two summers she was one of the main speakers for the evening services. At the same time, she continued to oversee a large portion of the camp staff. For the past two summers (because of Sister Ruth Heflin's accident and subsequent illness), Jane has directed the camp on her own in close collaboration with her director.

Ruth Ward Heflin, in the years leading up to her death, made it abundantly clear to many of the trustees of the camp ministry that Jane was her designated successor. This is fitting, and it was not a matter of seniority. It was Jane Lowder who first discovered the manifestation of golden glory in Brazil in Silvania Machado, a woman whom she personally had led into the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It was Jane Lowder who invited Silvania to the United States, and when Silvania arrived, Jane gave up her own preaching slot during summer camp that year so that America and the world could be blessed by this supernatural phenomenon. In the past several years, Jane has carried this glory as few others have. Like Sister Ruth before her, she is a visionary who looks into the heavenly realm and brings back blessing for those to whom she ministers. Her prophetic word is so powerful that in some areas, they have already begun to call her a prophet.
